Don't cancel the Bible.

You cannot truly know and follow Jesus without the Word of God. The Bible is our guide in life that helps us to know what is true, how to live as a believer, how we combat the enemy, and how we learn from when Jesus walked on this earth.

I hear all the time that people claim to be followers of Jesus, yet they reject certain parts of Scripture. How then, can you really be a follower of Christ if you have enough gumption to say some parts of the Bible are not true? You know who makes you question if God really said something? Satan.

So you can't be hearing from God if you ever feel the need to twist Scripture, cancel out some parts of the Bible, or feel the need to argue with the the truths of His Words.

The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the LORD God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”

“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. “It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” (Genesis 3:1-5, NLT)

I'm so weary from day to day facing "supposed" Christians that know the Word of God and yet don't believe in some parts of it. As much as my generation doesn't like black and white, I would have to say this is very black and white. You either surrender your life to Jesus and follow His Word or you don't. There is no in-between. There is no debate about whether the Bible has authority or not.

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12, ESV)

I'm begging you to either accept Jesus Christ alongside His Word as the center of your life or please stop slandering His Name. I know that my journey of fighting for Biblical truth is not over and I'm in the trenches of it. It's a lonely battle. I never thought I would have to face the reality that so many claim to be Christians, yet rewrite parts of God's Word as "their own truth." I never thought that I would look at seasoned believers and think, "How are you blind in your deception?" I also never thought that I would find devout believers of Jesus to be a minority. I know this is true of the last days of the earth, but how soon we surely have arrived here.

"But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people" (2 Timothy 3:1-5, ESV).

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter" (Matthew 7:21, NLT)

"You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder" (James 2:19, NIV).

I understand if some people that are young in their faith don't fully comprehend the Bible. I get that they are used to living in their old ways. I am asking that if you are new to being a believer then go search for yourself who Jesus really is and choose to follow the Word of God. See that Romans 1 addresses many sins that people are claiming are okay when God says they are not. I know that we are not perfect human beings, but there is a difference between falling into sin with conviction/guilt that leads to repentance. Then there is those who sin and rejoice in it. Those are two completely different people. I am not sure how one can sin and be happy with it after it happens. In my opinion, I don't believe the Holy Spirit lives inside that person if conviction no longer exists. If the Holy Spirit doesn't live within a person then how in the world can they be a follower of Christ?

This journey is a long one considering I'm only in my twenties facing it. It makes me tired hearing this from day to day. It makes me anxious half the time and I know the enemy wants to keep me mute. I long for the the boldness from the Lord to share His truth even if I'm sweating, shaking, barely can breathe, and my heart is racing. I long to fight this fight even if I'm terrified of appearing dumb or insecure. Let the words of my mouth be bold like a lion and gentle as a lamb for the truth of God because you can't live for Jesus Christ without also believing in all the truths of God's Word.

Join me in this journey as warriors because, "...we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12, ESV).
