But Jesus...

Do you ever just feel like the enemy sent one of his messenger's to take your house down just even in the little subtle ways? Yeah, that's how it feels for me.

I'm not even over-spiritualizing it, because I know that the enemy wants to get on my last nerve.

It all started when some people did a deliverance prayer over me to remove the root of fear in my life that is generational as well as placed specifically by the enemy. This calling on the Holy Spirit was so that I would have the power of God and to remove the fear that was overtaking me. I am so thankful that I did this because I am trusting that the Lord heard our cries and is delivering me from fear. I feel His strength upon me. I felt this way even before the deliverance prayer.

Days before the prayer, my dogs got sick randomly which involved needing medication. That was a new stressor that I didn't know how to fully handle, but thankfully the medication worked for them both. Then after the prayer some mental health issues happened in my family that was really difficult but also strengthened my faith in Jesus. Then I woke up with my cat having a huge lump on the side of her face which was very abnormal. Yesterday, the abscess erupted which became a bit of a mini crisis. Thankfully the vet was able to help her today. Yesterday, I had set my alarm to go to church but my phone messed it up so I slept through church which I had so been looking forwarding to going to. The battle of mental health is still going on, but I'm calling on the Lord for deliverance in my family. Then today, we got home and found out our newish tire was completely flat because we ran over a screw.

With all that said, the mini little trials are happening, but the angels are surrounding us. The enemy is angry, but the battle has already been won! Victory is in Jesus. One day Jesus will throw the enemy into hell and what a glorious day that will be. So in this time, we must go through trials that can be exhausting but I find that really these trials strengthen my faith. Although my fear has been tested for sure on many angles, I believe that this affliction is momentary. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says, "For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."

I have no idea what's next and yes that does trigger my fear. This isn't easy but God is still good. I can still trust in Him no matter the storm because fear has no place here. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." I am declaring this truth over my life and I hope you do the same. Fear is all around you, and the enemy knows it. Choose God today no matter what is happening or the fears that surround you. God is still good.
